WEIJA DAM SPILLAGE- Due to the heavy downpour in the catchment area of the Densu River basin, Management of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has begun minimal spillage of excess water from the dam as at Sunday 11th October, 2020. Management of GWCL therefore wishes to inform members of the general public as well as institutions and organizations who have properties downstream of the dam to take note and act accordingly since information from the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) indicates that there will be more rains. Meanwhile the GWCL, NADMO and other sector agencies are making arrangement for the provision of water and other services to the people displaced by the flood. Affected communities include; Tetegu, Oblogo, Pambros Salt, Lower McCarthy Hill, Lower Weija, Bojo Beach, Ada Kopey and surrounding communities.

Professor Forster Kum – Ankama Sarpong

Professor Forster Kum-Ankama Sarpong is a Real Estate developer for over 20 years. Recently his company constructed and implemented a 34-villa gated community in East Legon, Accra and Fasthouse (UK) building technology in Ghana respectively. He worked previously with the Lands Commission Secretariat (1991/1992) and Inusah & Co-Valuation firm (1992/1993), and was thus involved in a number of valuations and compensation assessments, such as the resettlement of occupants of the land compulsorily acquired by the Ghana Government for the construction of the Kanda Highway, Accra.

He is a Member of Irish University Business School (UK)’s University Council. He is a Specialized Project Manager & Companion of the Institute of Management Specialists (UK). A Fellow of the Chartered Economists (Ghana) and also Fellow of Chartered Financial Managers (USA).

A professor of Financial Science and former Adjunct Lecturer in Finance at the Regent University College of Science and Technology, Accra. He has to his credit a number of articles in newspapers and peer reviewed journals. He was Co-Editor with Prof. Agam Nag (India) and Prof. Samuel Lartey (Ghana), of the 546 page “Recent Trends in Business Management & Information systems” – (Singapore 2016) .

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (CASS), from Ghana Technology University College (2019) and also a Doctorate in Financial Management from the Institute of Professional Financial Managers, UK (2015). A Master of Business Administration (Finance), University of Ghana, Legon (2004) and a Bachelor of Science in Land Economy, KNUST Ghana (1991)
