BOARD MEMBER - ING. DR. CLIFFORD ABDALLAH BRAIMAH

Ing. Dr. Clifford A. Braimah is the Managing Director of Ghana Water Ltd. and a Director of the Board.

Prior to his appointment in March 2017, he was the Dean of the School of Engineering at Tamale Polytechnic, Ghana. He joined Tamale Polytechnic in 2000 as an instructor and rose through the ranks to become a senior lecturer in 2011.

Over the years, Ing. Dr. Clifford Braimah has been involved in the planning, designing, implementation and evaluation of many local and donor funded projects. Few of the projects are the Performance Audit of Savelugu Water System for the Savelugu/Nanton Municipal Assembly in the Northern Region and the development of a CIDA-funded training manual for small towns water supply system operations.

He was also involved in the training of small towns water supply system operators and managers on operations and maintenance of 30 small towns in the Northern Region. In addition, he engaged in the training of engineers of MMDAs on tools in the monitoring and supervision of small towns water supply systems in all 216 MMDAs in Ghana.

He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) and International Water Association (IWA). He is a lead author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on Water and Engineering.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Master of Science degree in Environmental Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Water Supply Management from Cranfield University, UK.
