WEIJA DAM SPILLAGE- Due to the heavy downpour in the catchment area of the Densu River basin, Management of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has begun minimal spillage of excess water from the dam as at Sunday 11th October, 2020. Management of GWCL therefore wishes to inform members of the general public as well as institutions and organizations who have properties downstream of the dam to take note and act accordingly since information from the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) indicates that there will be more rains. Meanwhile the GWCL, NADMO and other sector agencies are making arrangement for the provision of water and other services to the people displaced by the flood. Affected communities include; Tetegu, Oblogo, Pambros Salt, Lower McCarthy Hill, Lower Weija, Bojo Beach, Ada Kopey and surrounding communities.

Mr. Noah Tumfo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Industrial Art from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), followed by two Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Public Sector Management from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) respectively. He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Public Administration and Health Services of the University of Ghana Business School.

Currently he is a Chief Director at the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, a position he has held since August, 2019. He is an Administrator who has worked with the Civil Service for the past 23 years in both local and central government. Between 2013 and 2018, he was the Director for Career Management in the Civil Service and doubled as the Secretary to the Governing Board of the Service.

He is a professional Administrator and a chartered Management Consultant. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants, Ghana (CIAMC) and Chartered International Professional Managers, UK (CIPM).

He has expertise in Interpersonal and Motivational Skills Development, Leadership, Analytical Thinking and Public Service Systems and Procedures. He has joined the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from November, 2019.
