Mampong Water Supply Project

The Project, which cost 23.112 million dollars, involved the rehabilitation and expansion of water source, rehabilitation of existing 2,500m3(550,000 gallons) a day treatment plant, and the expansion of water treatment plant to10,500m3 (2,310,000 gallons) per day. In addition, transmission mains and 42 kilometre distribution lines have been constructed together with elevated water reservoirs and a sludge treatment plant.

The project was undertaken by Messrs UEM Inc. of the USA and completed in February 2014. Beneficiary communities include Darmang, Daaho, Basafour, Besease, Kyeremfaso, Krobo, Mpenya, Dadease, Bonkron, Nsuta and Beposo.
