Mr. Theophilus Tawiah Collins, currently serving as the Regional Chief Manager for the Ashanti North Region, has had a remarkable and distinguished career with Ghana Water Ltd (GWL). His journey with the company began on October 18, 1998, when he joined as an Assistant Revenue Officer and was initially posted to the North-East (Madina) District. Demonstrating his potential early on, he was reposted just a year later to the Accra-North District as a Project Officer. In this role, he played a pivotal part in piloting Private Sector Participation (PSP) in meter reading, bill distribution, and arrears collection.
Over the years, Mr. Collins has risen through the ranks, showcasing exceptional leadership and dedication. In 2008, he was appointed as the Regional Commercial Manager, a position he held across various regions including Volta, Accra West, and Ashanti South for an impressive fifteen years. His extensive experience and commitment to excellence culminated in his appointment as the Regional Chief Manager for the Ashanti North Region in 2023.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast. Additionally, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Central University and an Executive Certificate in Counselling. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).
Throughout his career, Mr. Collins has participated in numerous workshops and training programs, both locally and internationally. These programs have covered a wide range of topics including leadership, customer service management, arrears management, and project management. His participation in these programs underscores his dedication to staying abreast of industry best practices and enhancing his leadership skills.
With over twenty-five years of experience in various capacities within GWL, Mr. Theophilus Tawiah Collins continues to be a source of inspiration in the utility sector.
