Exceptional among these are his paper on Optimal Capital Structure and Financial Risk of Project Finance Investments, featured by both the Industrial Engineer and Palisade (now Lumivero, a developer of Risk & Decision Analysis software), and his paper on Urban Water Demand Forecasting: A Review of Methods and Models, which ranks among the top 10 papers in the subject area. Currently, he serves as Head of Research and Analytics at the GWL, where he provides analytics support for performance review and decision making to Top Management, Departments and Business Units. Previously, he worked as Professor of Civil Engineering Systems at the KNUST, where he taught Data Analysis, Systems Engineering (Optimization of Spreadsheet models), and Engineering Economics (Capital Investment Planning), and worked on various research and technical projects in these areas. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the KNUST (Kumasi, Ghana); an MSc in Sanitary Engineering from IHE (Delft, The Netherlands), with a concentration in Water Utility Management; and a PhD in Engineering Management from The George Washington University (Washington DC, USA), with concentrations in both Economics, Finance & Cost Engineering; and Operations Research.
He is a Licensed Professional Engineering, and a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). Being a Fulbrighter, he is committed to public service, and finds purpose in using his passion for quantitative modeling and analysis to help individuals and organizations simply data complexity, gain insights for data-driven decision-making, and resolve issues of economic importance that arise in the development and delivery of public water utility services.
